- Embedded with Army units in Iraq during major military operations and day-to-day missions. As a result ensured wide coverage of troops with news stories and features published in global print and online sites and photos picked up by news agencies such as the AP and Time (online).
- Supervised and mentored small team of journalists. Managed journalism training for new personnel, initiated field training for journalists in Iraq. Helped develop training handbook for stringers.
- Founding editor of monthly digital magazine in Iraq serving 3,000+ soldiers in Army brigade.
- Edited stories from stringers ensuring flow and AP style. Carried out monthly design and layout.
